The star is for the appearance only. My dad was admitted four days ago for continued care and rehabilitation. In that time, I've spent most of the day until bedtime with him. He's unable to push the nurse's button so getting help that way is impossible and when I push it it takes 30-45 minutes for someone to come. He's gotten "wiped down" ONCE from someone other than me. They have "shower days" every 3 days, that hasn't happened at all. By the way, I wait until right before bed to clean him up just to see if anyone that's supposed to does. The food is typical hospital food but we've come from a facility with a new food service manager and everything was amazing! He ate every bite there and nutrition levels were great (yes they are supposed to measure that in lab work) however, the food here is not good therefore he doesn't eat unless we bring it in. Rehabilitation, where to begin....very nice and attentive speech therapist named Kelli. PT people have been nice but he hasn't had any today or yesterday for that matter. OT pretty good from the small amount of time we've seen her, very nice and set goals but come on rehabilitation let's get those goals met!!! Yes it is a beautiful facility but the patients aren't tended to or checked on, please keep this in mind when you choose a facility for your loved one.
