  • Here we go again, another business owner trying to place blame elsewhere! So, this morning I am at WORK and the owner of Infinity Air "Aidan" calls me on my cell phone, not sure how he got my cell as I did not give authority for my number to be given to anyone but the service tech who was scheduled to come between 2pm and 5pm this afternoon. Anyway, this guy calls me up and immediately is on the defensive spewing negativity about my HONEST Yelp* review(s) and my complaint with the BBB, so WHO greeted WHO with hostility?. This guy is a liar, I filed a complaint with the BBB and his reply was not to take ownership - as he is somewhat attempting to do below (manufacturer defect, sure, twice??) but by replying with that I "screamed" at the repair technician, when in reality, I offered him a bottle of water, which he accepted and asked if he was hungry which he replied no, after all he was there THREE hours. The repair guy was nice, but he was up and down on the roof multiple times when after the first time he came down stated everything on the roof was fine and that "there must be a broken wire in the wall" or "the thermostat is bad" and proceed to go back and forth on the roof, seemingly to waste time. I'm not going to speculate why, Aidan can offer up all the excuses he wants, BUT the fact remains: when the heat went out the FIRST TIME, I looked on their website and NO emergency number, when the heat went out the SECOND TIME (less than 10 days later) I looked on their website, NO emergency number .. so I called the number given to me by the landlord which was supposedly to the guy named "Matt" but the phone just rang about 20 times and no voicemail or recording. Then I called the number on their website to which I was greeting with a recording stating they were closed for the observance of the Christmas Holiday, and I'm ok with that - most companies were closed yesterday but still NOTHING about a emergency number, no way to leave a message and no answering service to take a message to page an On-Call tech! Isn't the whole point to having a heater to HEAT the house, not to have a unit go into automatic shut down mode when the outside temperature reaches 35 degrees as was told to my Landlord by Matt, then again to me by the service tech. I asked the service tech probably 50+ questions about the unit that they installed in just a few months earlier and I was told, and I will paraphrase as I cannot remember word for word, that the company (could be all HVAC companies, I am not sure as I am not familiar enough with that industry) did not sell HVAC units that can withstand a temperature below 35 degrees because the temperature so rarely goes below that in this area. I learned on Facebook from my friends, that there is a heat strip (I think that's what it is called) that should be installed to prevent this from happening when the temperature drops below, however the service tech said that they rarely mention that because, he said, they bank on the temperature rarely getting that low here. So, hopefully, any "viewers of these reviews" will use their common sense when reading them and realize that most people do not just make up stuff like this if it isn't true. People who post reviews about company's do so to aid fellow consumers and hopefully steer them away from making the same mistake or guide them to a great experience, here I am attempting the former. As I stated previously, I do not know this guy, never heard of this company (wish I had though), so what beef do I actually have with him and this company, if this didn't really happen? ***I will be happy to amend this review should the situation resolve itself in a satisfactory manner and an apology from Aidan here on this page, to myself, for lying to the BBB that I 'screamed' at the first service guy.***
