| - I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-night stay at this hotel. If your meetings are at the airport, there's no better place.
I arrived after a flight and received a friendly greeting from both the desk clerk and the manager. I was informed that since I had requested a feather-free room, I would receive one of Sheraton's new Pure Allergy-Friendly room, which includes treatments to avoid dust and pollen, and an air filtration system. Now I'm sure the majority of their treatments are not scientifically-proven, however it made me feel a bit better. I wouldn't pay extra for the Pure rooms, but it was a nice touch.
The room was quiet and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms had 2 features that I deem 5-star worthy, and essential when I travel for business:
1. Plenty of electrical outlets - you'd be surprised how many hotels don't have outlets next to the bed to charge phones, watches etc. This room had many.
2. Blazing fast wifi - I achieved speeds of over 1000 Mb/sec. Very unusual for free hotel wifi.
I also ate down in the bar and ordered room service. Both came very quickly, and service was friendly and warm. The fitness centre wasn't bad - plenty of treadmills and cardio machines, but not a huge space for weight training. That being said, there's a Goodlife Fitness at Terminal 1, so I used that.
Finally, our meeting was in the hotel meeting rooms. They did a great job with catering, AV, and all aspects of the meeting.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. If you don't have time to leave the hotel and visit downtown Toronto, this is a nice place to stay!
