  • Freedom Park is an awesome spot in Charlotte. They have ample parking which allows visitors to easily access the parks many attractions - lake, Sugar Creek Greenway, pavilions, tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, softball fields, playgrounds, and the list goes on. There is something at Freedom Park for everyone! My boyfriend and I love to bring our pup here on the weekends. On a stroll around the lake, you will typically see groups exercising, couples taking engagement/baby/wedding photos, friends picnicking, and more. We recently went on a Saturday evening for a "Pop Up Picnic" in the Park. It was an awesome, free event. The Park was the perfect setting for this picnic! We love Freedom Park, and we enjoy the fact that it is located so close to our home.
