Be warned - - this doctor's office is the worst!!
I have been going to Dr. Wachs for years, in spite of the fact that I would be in the waiting room for an hour and a half to 2 + hours. I guess I was to lazy to find another doctor, and Dr. Wachs is an okay doctor when she does finally see you. (Although she sometimes does unnecessary tests to pad the bill.)
The biggest problem is the incompetence of her staff. You will often see other patients up at the front desk frustrated to the point of yelling and making a scene due to some error that they made or prescription they wouldn't refill without an appt regardless of how desperately it is needed. I try to mind my business, but I can't help but notice that it happens a lot and they always get a rude, uncaring response.
Recently they sent me to a collection agency for bills that had already been paid by my insurance company. (I never got these bills prior to this.) I had my insurance company call to verify the payment. They did nothing with that info. I called to follow up. I could tell the woman didn't know how to look up the info before she put me on hold. She just kept putting me on hold until the call would ring back to the front desk and I would get transferred back. They don't know how to use their billing system, and they would rather send you to collections than figure it out.
Save your time and your credit report by finding another doctor!
