Was excited to go see the drive in movies tonight but there are a few things that will keep me from going again.
The positives: inexpensive, comfy in the car, wore my jammies, took our own snacks and drinks, and fairly good sound system with the radio.
The negatives:
--if your car rides low, look out - if you don't angle it right trying to find your spot to watch the movie, your car will scrape the hills and grades. YIKES. Cars were traversing to not scrape the underside of the car. You can see where cars have leveled the tops of those mounds and ridges. Nerve-wracking to say the least.
--we also were a little confused if we were in the right movie. Our movie didn't have barrels with the number to let us know we were in the right place.
--the popcorn was cold and stale and tasteless.
--not the best movie screen or quality.
--very confusing how to get out of the place when the movie is over. There were no exit signs. Cars were just turning around and driving back up the mounds and hills.
--mainly I was afraid we were going to damage the underside of the car. If you have your lights on, the shadow makes the hills and mounds seem steeper. Some mounds are steeper than others. The cheap price is not worth worrying about all that. I grew up going to drive in movies and have been them in different cities and states. None had that horrible drive trying to find your spot or when leaving.
