Well I set up an appointment for a free estimate . I got a call a few hours later confirming, & they mentioned my wife's name & asked who she was & I said it was my wife & why are you asking as its none of their business. (Well they obviously pulled up ownership record of my house which is public )
They asked if she will be home at the time the salesman comes. I said maybe but what's the difference. Well they said it takes both signatures to sign an agreement . She would have been home but I said maybe maybe not. They did not want to keep the appointment unless she was present, & I said if that's the case, cancel the appointment . I am in sales & own many business's. This company must really think people are stupid to try to come in my home & try to use high pressure sales tactics to get people to sign a contract without leaving . I will change all 40 windows in my house , but it will not be Andersen. It makes me angry how insulting this is to people's intelligence. They are the first company I called for a FREE ESTIMATE . I will get a couple of estimates & do my due diligence . It always amazes how people run their business .
Oh well someone is going to get a nice order from me.
I received a response from Catherine H from Andersen apologizing . I accept your apology, but I received a call again a day later from a gentleman trying to schedule an appointment . I explained to him how upset I was with your sales tactics & that I wanted to be removed from your records & not to call again.
He said this is the way you have been doing business for a 100 years & it works for your company. I have been in business for 50 years & that's not how I do business & it does not work that way for me.
