Avoid this place at all costs, you've been warned! Gateway is bottom of the barrel when it comes to dealerships and the Chevrolet brand is turning to trash as well. We purchased a car brand new from this place and have had nothing but issues lately, conveniently just after warranties start to expire. 3 major repairs in less than a year, all costing between $1K and $2K per repair.
The service manager Adrian Lamb is dishonest as well, he says he will help out by doing repairs at cost and getting GM to help out then goes back on his word. He's just saying anything to get you out of his office then proceeds to not be helpful at all. Apparently charging double for the parts than what you can buy them for retail at your neighborhood auto parts store is doing it "at cost". Maybe they have a different definitions for "help", "at cost", "appreciate you as a customer", "loyalty", etc.. than what the rest of the world has.
At the end of the day it was never about the money. I paid for the car upfront in cash and have no difficulty paying for the repairs. It's all about principal. My issue is neither GM nor Gateway are taking responsibility for manufacturing and selling such a terribly unreliable car and refusing to stand by the product. The car was sold to me a super reliable commuter car with low long term maintenance costs. Unfortunately for me the experience has been the opposite and when combined with GM and Gateway's lack of enthusiasm to "do the right thing", both the dealership and GM have lost me as a customer for life.
