The decor in Herbs & Rye is very dim & 1920s style. The restaurant can get packed in the evenings, wait times can be long so be sure to make a reservation. The bar can get full. The food is wonderful. Their cocktail menu is unique and the cocktails are delicious; plus the bartenders area a blast. The service otherwise has been very bad, hence the 3 stars. The hostess was incredibly rude to me the one time I didn't sit at the bar and requested a table. She couldn't be bothered to do her job and had a very poor attitude. Then she completely forgot about us and we waited 45 minutes prior to finding out she forgot about putting us at a table. Another time our server at our table was rude; several of us waited 25 minutes to even get asked if we wanted a drink and never got to order food or a second cocktail despite being there for an hour and a half! The server didn't attend to us at all and was very rudea, he slammed down our stuff at the table and we impatient and huffy. I was shocked, we had a large party for our company, we decided to hold happy hours there, but after that first experience we hold them somewhere else! For cocktails and sitting at the bar though Herbs & Rye is great!
