  • Overall, I had a good experience at Windsor, but it wasn't my favorite. I love the patio. My friend and I were there on a Sunday later afternoon, and it was pretty packed. After I arrived, it was at least 10 minutes until the server came to get my drink order, so that kind of irked me. Our server did get a little more attentive as the meal progressed, thankfully. We had the corn dog appetizer to start with. I wish the batter had been cooked just a tad bit more so that they were more crunchy, but they were still pretty good. They also came with fried pickles, which I love. I requested a side of ranch to use for dipping instead of the yellow mustard that came with the appetizer. For me entrĂ©e, I had the shortribs. If shortribs are on a menu, I will almost always order that. With this dish, the meat was cooked very well and was tasty, but there was something I didn't love about the accompaniments. They were too earthy or something, I can't put my finger on it. So, it was good, but not as good as I was hoping for. I've only heard good things about Windsor from friends, so I would go back for a second time, but it's not somewhere that I'm going to put on the top of my restaurant list.
