  • Visited this location (Bikram Yoga Annex) with a friend and we were refused in a very rude manner by Aranka Shkolnikov, the wife of the owner - Sasha. The reason was that we had "fragrant scents" on our body (in reality hair shampoo). No problem, we would have come back another day, except Aranka took the liberty of telling us that "perhaps this studio in not the place for you". What? Based on what? Being people of colour that statement did not go down well. Aranka offended us, and didn't seem to care. We called Sasha to relay our feeling of unwelcomness, and he didn't seem to care either. Well figures, they are Bikram and Bishnu Yoga Instructors. That means like Bikram Choudhury, the multi-millionaire Indian yoga guru and the founder of Bikram Yoga, they are lacking any real sense of spirituality or humanity. Somewhere in learning the "authentic" Hot Yoga Sasha and Aranka became too selective of whom to share it with.
