  • I have a golden retriever. I love his golden curls but they are getting a tad scraggly and needed to be groomed. I brought him here to try a new place close to home. I told the lady at the counter that I wanted him to just be scissor cut, trimmed, and cleaned up because I wanted to keep the curls. She said to give them about 2.5 - 3 hours and he should be done and they said they would call me about 20 minutes before he was finished so I knew when to head back. 4 hours after his appointment I still had not heard anything from them so I called them myself. They told me he's been done and he's ready for pick up. I told her I never recieved a call but I'm just down the street and will be there soon. When I walked in, I didn't even recognize my dog. They shaved him!! After I specifically asked for scissor cut. I was devastated and my heart hit my toes. I hated it! She asked if it was too short and i said yes! I just wanted you to use scissors. She gave me some excuse as to why they couldn't use them (which he's had the scissor cut in the past at another groomer ) and i said a call would've been nice before you just shaved him. I didn't want him shaved. I was just ready to leave. I paid (which I shouldn't have) and walked out, but I will not go back there again. The lady at the counter kept calling him a her after i corrected her, and then they never even called me when he was finished for me to come get him. And when it was wrong, gave me excuses as to why they shaved him. Ugh... still heart broken my baby no longer has his beautiful curls!! I know it'll grow back, but for the price I paid, I was very unsatisfied. I'm just glad I didn't get him groomed for a big reason, like family photos or a wedding bc I would've lost my mind!!
