  • Markham Cineplex is one of the busiest places in Downtown Markham, and rightfully so. Totally unrelated but if you're into cars, come here on a Friday night and expect to see GTR's, Lambos, G63's and so on. (the Asian mafia love their movies). I joke. The theatre is one of the nicest and most modern theatre around in the GTA (compared to STC, Fairview, Richmond Hill, etc). The few seconds of customer service interaction has never been unpleasant (although the employees on many occasions look unsatisfied with their work, cheer up sometimes!) The VIP cinema is recommended if you've never tried it. It's great for a date night. You get huge personal seats, a menu to order food and drink which gets delivered to your seat, and overall just a really enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend trying VIP on a Tuesday. Parking here is pretty terrible, especially if you're going to look for something on the outside. I always park underground now because outside is always full, and sometimes I STILL can't find parking for a while. The good thing is people are always leaving so jus follow someone out. As all Cineplexes do, you get the opportunity to save with Scene so always bring your card.
