Could not agree with Jay G. more!
I'm not sure what it is about London Pub, but I've never really been able to enjoy myself there either. I've always felt kind of uneasy there and I can't really put a finger on what it is that makes me uncomfortable. Although it's not my first choice for a close proximity bar, many of my friends consider it the go to bar in the Hill and are happy as folk in there.
The décor inside is fairly ordinary and the pub is always dark inside. London boasts 15 televisions and a couple larger screens always showing sports, clutch. IMO they are best known for their patio which is well decorated and fairly large accompanied by heaters for those cooler nights. This patio is typically packed on summer nights, especially whenever there is a big sporting event on as there is a big flat screen out there.
The pub grub offered is not all that bad, but definitely not amazing. Many a time have I ordered food in there and regretted it. The nachos and other pub grub are really nothing special and the pastas are overpriced. I you had to eat in there I'd recommend one of the sandwiches such as the Beef Dip.
By far the best thing about London Pub is that they do carry a fair amount of select liqueurs. My favourite liquor in the world is El Dorado rum (big ups to Guyana), either the 10 or 12 year. These delicious burnt sugar cane rums have won multiple awards over the years including the Gold Award at the International Rum festivals. (http://www.demrum.com/awards/awards.cfm). The fact that they provide this rum completely salvaged their review LOL.
In closing, I would like to address the terrible service. You literally have to flag a waitress down to order, and they typically are not knowledgeable of the menu or all that polite. All in all this is a pub you may want to avoid and its shocking to me that it's hard to find parking on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. Maybe see for yourself.
