  • Several people recommended this museum for us to see and while there were many cool exhibits to see it wasn't the most ... practical setup. Nor is it really appropriate for all ages. I say this not just because of the content in the exhibits but because of its accessibility or lack thereof. We went into the main building directly accessible from the parking lot - there is a wheel chair ramp and stairs. If you are a person with a physical disability this main building is the only one you can go to because it is the only one with elevators. We were given a map and told to go to the annex (the building where the ongoing exhibit "A Second Home" is. We were able to purchase one discounted senior ticket, one adult ticket, and two student tickets putting our total at $65 , not exactly chump change considering the exhibits. If you are hard of seeing, have a physical disability, or are claustrophobic or epileptic - do NOT go into "A Second Home" nor if you have small children. The exhibit was cool in the fact that it repurposed an old building and a lot of 'junk' and that it's ongoing. There are some cool audio/visual displays. Definitely one to spend time in looking at things - but it is dark and there are lots of tight and narrow spaces. They do cap the amount of people in here at a time which is why they recommend going there early. The second building has several cool exhibits but a lot of empty space. There are only stairs here as well. You have to walk between the three buildings, they are only a short distance from each other but keep that in mind. We went when it was raining so we had to walk in and out of the rain. The main building had the most exhibits, as well as a cafĂ© and a gift shop. This building had some of my favorite exhibits! The majority of the staff is very friendly, all college aged. This is a very "collegiate - hipster" place but has something for everyone. We went and there were a ton of college kids - presumably for a class requirement, but there were also several families as well! Something for everyone if you stick to the main building. The staff will also give you a heads up which exhibits are kid appropriate - if need be. I was glad to have stopped here but it's definitely a one time only necessary experience. Unless there is some really cool temporary exhibit.
