| - I started out going to Monterey Dental after moving to the city. Like most people, I have anxiety related to dental offices. The office was warm and welcoming, and the doctor I saw initially was pleasant. The staff weren't rude or unfriendly, but I feel like there was not very good customer service.
I had an appointment to have two wisdom teeth removed, and two cavities filled. My mouth was frozen at the same time, the cavities were filled first, and then the wisdom teeth were started. By the time the doctor reached the last tooth, the freezing was wearing off and I was in so much pain, crying so hard I could hardly breathe. I asked and asked for him to stop, and he finally, abruptly put his instruments down and said to his assistant 'I can't work with that'.
Wow, what a way to make an already anxious person feel *so* comfortable! (NOT!) The appointment was finished, and besides a follow up (with a different doctor), I have never and will never return to that office.
