| - $17 bucks to get the permission to walk around and look at junk, vendors, and tactical booths? You got to be freakin kidding me. I've been to several of these gun shows and every time I go I ask myself why? I am writing this review to remind myself to never go again.
It used to be held at the fair grounds but is now held at University of Phoenix stadium. Same old junk, new venue. In case you've never been and are curious to what you are getting for almost 20 bucks I will break it down for you.
-Ammo that costs more than Cabelas from shady owners. A box of 100 rounds of 40 cal costs 39 at Cabelas and 45 here. A 50 round box costs $25. Why would I pay you more for the same ammo when Cabelas is across the street and doesn't charge 17 bucks to walk into their store?
-Vendors selling anything from shock therapy gadgets, to flying helicopters, to Nazi memorabilia. Yeah, no thanks
-Vendors selling cheap Chinese knifes that you can buy cheaper on Amazon without the cover charge
-Food vendors selling Dasani bottles of water for $4.50 a pop
-People asking you to vote for them, join the NRA, etc
-T shirts that hate on Obama, Democrats, and Muslims
-There are guns but most of them are shotguns and AR-15s with every piece of junk you can think of attached to them
-You can sometimes find other suckers walking around 17 bucks lighter trying to hawk their own gun and find a deal. But that can be done by going on Backpages from the comfort of your own home.
To sum it up, the crossroads gun show is a complete waste of time and money. If you like to waste your time and money and look at gun junk, mall kiosk vendors, over priced ammo, and a few dozen more accessories to slap on your AR-15 then the gun show is for you. If you are looking for hunting gear/rifles, good prices on ammo, hard to find/bargains then do not waste your time.
