| - Eh.
I've been to Drop Bar three times - the first time, I had a blast. Loud dance music, club lighting, etc. I'm admittedly a huge EDM/club music fan, but I loved every song that came on. It wasn't just the top 40 music, but Alesso, Afrojack, Showtek, etc. Good times! Unfortunately my friends don't love this kind of music the way I do, so we only stayed for one drink and some dancing.
The second time I went here, my roommate and I walked in and saw just a bunch of middle-aged folks and zero dancing. What?? It was admittedly somewhat early in the night (10-ish maybe?) but we pretty much just walked out.
The third time, my roommate and I went around 10:30 on a Friday. The place was nearly empty - she and I were the only ones on the dance floor. The DJ refused to take any of our requests, which was a little irritating. A few people trickled in, but we left around 11 to pursue more crowded dance venues (read: Barley House... yeah, I know).
I'm willing to give Drop Bar more chances - perhaps the first night was a Saturday and the second two were on Fridays? The drinks are reasonably priced and I've never had slow service, but again, it was only somewhat crowed one of the three times I was there.
