| - What a delicious dinner. After a few days of heavy meals, I wanted to enjoy some fresh and satisfying fare, and Omnivore was perfect. Great area (if you're a tourist, it's a great street to check out--lots of designers and local spots), and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I got the herbivore x3 with chickpea salad, a tomato-based eggplant dish, and hummus (came with pita). The pita was a bit cool, thin and chewy, but it was a most excellent vehicle for all that deliciousness. My hubs got the hot chicken curry sandwich--he (an avid Indian food eater) said it was good. Definitely a Mediterranean fusion style of Indian food--very tangy, as in citrus-y. It's not a strong curry, and he ate it all. I loved my own so much that I marched right back up to the counter and ordered the Beirut hot sandwich to be my brunch on our train ride the next day. I've just finished it, and I give it a delightfully satisfied 2 thumbs up, and I don't care one bit what my train-mates think of the smell of beef and onions emanating from my onboard meal. I imagine it would have been even more delicious warm! If I lived in Montreal, I'd be a regular here, for sure.
