  • We stopped in this evening for a beer and some to go food. It was very loud and I had trouble hearing the bartender. After sitting and waiting for 10 minutes I asked the bartender if my wife and I could have a couple beers. He was very rude and said based on my slow reaction time when we came in he would not serve either of us. I mentioned this to the hostess as we left and she offered to have me speak with her manager. I spoke with David who was a nice guy but offered little consolation for such a bad experience with this bartender. David's closing words were "give me a call we'll do something for you." Not sure how sincere that comment was considering he didn't even ask my name. My wife and I have taken family on multiple occasions to the rooftop for drinks, dined there, and even had our anniversary brunch there this year. Needless to say we won't be going back anytime soon. Obviously they are doing enough business that it is not important to keep regular customers happy. We went to Olive or Twist after six penn refused to serve us and had several drinks and some food. Nice people and will definitely stop back there if in the area.
