Upon driving up to lobby I was told to park our car before even finding out where the room is, we have 3 kids with us. This required me to find a distant parking space than hike uphill with the kids only to then be told where we actually need to go. Most resorts today allow you to check in when you drive up then be on your merry way, but this place must have not gotten the memo.
Once shown to the suite I felt like I walked into my great grandmothers apartment. Furnishings are dated, with terrible color configuration inside. Tried to look beyond all that and enjoy the pool, it was very crowded and we couldn't find any seats outside. 4 waiters walked by and never offered to collect an order. The bathrooms are disgusting and the smell of the trash bins they leave outside the doors smell so foul you may vomit.
After all that I figured I'll just enjoy the room tonight. Movies rentals are advertised. It not available. Since I couldn't watch a movie I took a stroll around the grounds to unwind. Unfortunately even walking the grounds on interrupted was impossible due to the sounds of emergency vehicles such as fire trucks storming the pool area and drawing large crowds.
The pools are visible dirty and the trashy people leave their crap everywhere... We even had a plate of unfinished chicken fries and various sauces that were sitting next to our area for more than three hours. It never did get picked up. Do you know what chicken smells like after three hours and 110° weather? Pretty rancid!
As someone that's frequents hotels and resorts I have to say this is one of the most disappointing places I've stayed in several years based on customer service, cleanliness and quality of patrons.
That may sound harsh, but show up and hang out for a couple of hours and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. There are a lot of other really nice places for the same exact price that you should stay instead.
