Visit Black Lotus once and you'll never look at tattoo shops the same way. It's like more like a high-end lounge/hip art gallery. I initially went in to get a monochrome cover-up of a 15-year old tattoo, but after seeing Byron's color work, I let the artist do his thing! 3 years later, the lines still look great and the colors are still vibrant. I realize that Byron has made me a tattoo snob! I pulled them up on Yelp today after calling out lousy tattoos at Spring Training yesterday, and my friend said he needed to get his covered-up. Black Lotus is worth every penny. If you're going to complain about paying for a tattoo, just remember how long you're going to have it... The last time I was there, it was for a charity fundraiser art event where they were raising money to find a cure for Cistic Fibrosis -- so these guys have hearts too!
