  • Safelite is no longer my first choice when repairing a windshield. The first appointment was set up with this company a week ago, and I took a day of vacation so they could come out to my place and replace the windshield. I received an email confirmation the night before stating who the person was that was coming out and when the appointment was going to be. Next day 30 minutes before the end of their 4 hour window they called to say they didn't have the special parts to install and would have to order. They could not provide a reason why they were not prepared for the appointment and offered nothing but apathy when I called them on the phone upset. Today magically the second time, the tech was out within the first 45 minutes of the appointment window. He was friendly, polite, and explained why it needed the special parts. He also was finished within a reasonable amount of time. I have yet to see how the workmanship is on the repair, but considering how rude the company was the first time and offered nothing for wasting my paid vacation day, I'm going to the competition next time, and reporting the experience to my insurance.
