| - Been going to this place for 5 months now and it's pretty good for the price they are advertising. I'm paying the $10/month membership (plus $25 activation fee for the first month only)
I usually go in when it's the least busiest between 6am-3pm or 9pm-1am. I'm pretty sure it remain pretty empty after 1am but I use transit so I can't stay longer than that.
Pros: 24/7 access, very close to Lawrence West station, lots of cardio equipment, lots of free weights (75 lbs max on dumbbells), fair amount of weight machines, 30 min. circuit workout (for those tight on time) & friendly staff (7am-10pm)
Cons: Limited change rooms (only 5 one person change rooms), small lockers, smelly washrooms, no water fountain, no showers and annoying background music (I actually zone out from it but friends at the gym complain that it's annoying)
Other cons that are there but I can't blame the gym for: There are guys hitting on girls (it's a gym not a bar/club), people not putting the weights back in place (waste of time looking for them), people not cleaning equipment (it's especially nasty if you sweat like a pig) & guys not having leg days (it's a personal pet peeve, but still it looks disgusting for a buff guy to have chicken legs).
