Just yesterday I was thinking to myself, "Dave, your wardrobe is completely without any mid-thigh khaki shorts with sail boats embroidered all over them. And what of my pastel polo shirts? Why have they cost me less than $80 a piece? Who will take this heavy burden from my wallet?"
So I mounted my Thoroughbred and rode, searching high and low in Charlotte, only to find that the stores only had knee-high khaki shorts, or mid-thigh shorts that were completely devoid of embroidery--sailboats or otherwise. And while many had pastel polos, none could dry my wallet fast enough.
Then, I found Brooks Brothers. Never again will I sail father's boat in Charleston wearing anything less than a translucent button up. Never again will my shorts block my lower thigh from the salty breeze.
I have found my pastel Utopia.
