I cannot be more satisfied with this tattoo shop! I've had both of my tattoos done by Vic Vivid, the second with two more sessions to be done later. My first tattoo was done when I was 17, so I was a bit scared. Kelly the receptionist is AWESOME and responds to emails very quickly and efficiently. I was able to make my down payment over the phone which was great. She also checked in with me the second time when I came on my own which made me super comfortable. This was at the old shop.
I actually had the cool experience of having my next tattoo done at the new shop before the grand opening. It is such a cool place, so sanitary and private for those who are scared about showing skin to others.
Vic is an amazing artist. My first tattoo was a quote which he had ready when I came in and was done in 45 minutes. The lines are perfectly straight and a year later it still looks as clean as it did when it was first done. My second piece is breathtaking. As I live 5 hours away, it was difficult to have an exact idea of what I wanted as it is more complicated than a quote. Vic showed me his ideas and made sure I was completely happy with it before we started. I was also not charged for the 45 minutes or so we took to figure out what I wanted which I was really appreciative of. Check out his Instagram @vicvivid and you can see more of the amazing work he does. He chatted with me occasionally but not entire time with was perfect for me and let me take a couple of stretch breaks when I asked.
Also there's free wifi, who doesn't love that.
I feel like a lot of people were shocked by the price when I was asked by friends, but I am a firm believer in paying as much as you need to for something that is on your body forever. Skin Design charges the same as any professional tattoo shop and I would not expect them to charge any less.
One thing I would say is leave extra time for parking! I took a taxi so I didn't have to worry about it but when I got picked up my Dad was pretty frustrated as he had to park a couple blocks away and was not familiar with the Korea Town side of Vegas where the shop is.
