| - Closer to 3.5 stars but definitely not 4. You can tell parts of the hotel have been remodeled, and the lobby and most of the rooms look modern. However, the bathroom could still use work, since the tub is really small and the tiling and caulking look old and worn down. I understand those remodels could be expensive, so a cheaper way to make a quick improvement would be to upgrade the shower head. The positives of this hotel is that they have free wi-fi, a complimentary light breakfast from 6-9am (I wasn't able to check this out), a fitness room, in hotel restaurant, and ample parking in the lot. This hotel is also nearby downtown Phoenix and only 15 minutes away from Scottsdale, so not a bad place to stay if you're here for spring training. However, I wouldn't want to pay more than $100/night, which can be difficult to avoid during spring training!
