| - The 5 stars goes to the employees that I encountered. Every person we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, informative, and seemed generally happy to be there. I believe her name was Lauren, in the Monkey Village, who took so much time telling us all about the 14 monkeys, their stories, etc. It's little things like that which make seeing all of those majestic creatures pulled from their natural habitat. It's bittersweet, really, but still such a wonderful experience to see the wild up close! The grounds are beautiful, well kept.
***Also, to parents that take handfuls of children, please encourage your children to not run and scream everywhere. The zoo should be as peaceful of a sanctuary as possible for these animals. I bet if there was less chaos from that alone, the animals would be so much happier and willing to come out of hiding in their little nooks!! :)
