I've driven by this location many times since it opened and today time was on my side, so I decided to stop in. Getting into their parking lot is a little difficult since it's right on 51. Parking lot is somewhat muddy and not paved.
Their location is cute but has a ways to go. The brick home has been transformed into a coffee shop. I was the only customer there at the time and couldn't help but feel like I was intruding on their family. Tight quarters, not a good place to work while enjoying a cup of coffee. Somehow my latte ended up being over $5, so I think they're overpriced. Especially considering that the drink was weak.
I didn't like the route to leave the location. You have to take a gravel driveway behind the next house to get to a side street. I felt like I was trespassing while driving back there.
I want this coffee shop to be successful because I think Mint Hill needs options. The employees were friendly. I believe in local and family owned so I think that this shop has potential if they work on the parking situation.
