  • The location is great if you want to walk around downtown and use the metro. So much to see and do within easy walking distance so that's the best part of the hotel. They also offer a free breakfast with some nice staples like boiled eggs and fruit. They have a great deal on parking with a nearby parking garage which is cheaper than other valet parking options in the immediate area. The room was not that great. The television was huge and there wasn't much noise from the hallway so that was a bonus. The shower was awful. It was so weak that it felt like you were not washing up. Nothing we did could fix this so I think it was designed that way. There's a window in the shower that looks out to the bedroom which is just creepy. Not sure where they were going with that feature but we found it bizarre. We also did not like the exposed concrete walls. At first, we wondered if the hotel room was still under construction as we were on the 9th floor and there was a paint smell in the hall the first day we were there but it appears it's just a design choice. It made the room seem almost like a jail and I'm not sure I like the idea of concrete walls at all although we did see it in a few other places so might be the in thing in Montreal. The room was also way too hot and nothing we did could help this. I'd set the heat way down and try to turn it off and it'd be near 80 again by the morning. Finally, the elevator system was slow as people had to use their key card to get up and this seemed to confuse some travelers and slow everything down for anyone trying to take the elevator. We'd probably give the hotel another chance due to the good parking deal and location but if you're looking for something higher end then it likely is not the best place for you.
