  • I was first introduced to banh mi a few years ago by a friend in Toronto. I have no idea why banh mi isn't popular in New York City (or maybe it is and I just don't know it?), but I don't know how I lived without it. It's super cheap and delicious -- you can never go wrong with banh mi! I ordered the braised beef banh mi with jalapeños, and it felt a little dry, but I ate the whole thing without any complaints. A friend and I just had a road trip to Toronto and she never had banh mi before, so of course I had to take her here! Her thoughts? Delicious. My thoughts? Banh Mi Boys will never go out of business as long as I'm around.
