| - I went to Hanlon's once about 8 years ago when they were near Mercy Hospital, and all I remember was having a burger, but I can't remember if I liked it.
Last week, I popped into Hanlon's new Downtown location, and rather enjoyed my Breakfast Burger, which included a fried egg, bacon, and home fries ON TOP of the patty with a fresh dill pickle shaft. Aside from a bun that could have held up better, that well-done chopped beef (medium-rare is the only way to go, but I can understand the health concerns) still managed to taste darn good and merged morning to afternoon enjoyably.
The final word on housemade potato chips must be spoken by Hanlon's for theirs are the definition of deep-fried exactness.
For dessert, my pleasant, perky, petite, and pretty young waitress made me a nut-adorned, whipped cream-crowned hot fudge sundae that came in a styrofoam cup and consisted of a quality brand of prepared vanilla ice cream I promised not to reveal to the public.
To address an earlier review...
1-The menu was complete when I dined there.
2-Nobody looked "grimy" to me.
3-I saw no prostitutes at Hanlon's, just regular working-class folk like myself. I know we can be a scary lot to the more sheltered people of the Yelposphere, but damn.
