  • "My name is Barack Obama and I approve this restaurant." - The President of the United States Alright, so I totally made up that quote, although it is true that Obama did make a stop at Pamela's while visiting Pittsburgh and loved it. But even though I voted for the guy, I can't say that I'm with him on this one. Pamela's is just okay. Pretty much everything on the menu is standard and over-the-top greasy. Even their so-called famous hotcakes fail to dazzle my taste buds, and I can assure you that my taste buds are not particularly discriminating, especially during the time that I lived in Pittsburgh as a broke college student. I don't really get the hype and why there is always an obscenely long wait. The decor is pretty wacky and fun, I guess?
