| - Before I write my review on this business, I have to pass along that I was warned by another business that taking my phone to him was a risk.. Risk taken, risk caught up too me.
One star for three reasons...
First this guy Jeff, supposed owner/operator has ZERO interpersonal, customer service skills.
Second his workmanship is trash. Don't trust him with any MAC product!
Third and probably the most important is he DOESN'T stand behind his work.
I brought my iPhone4 into his business to have my front screen replaced.
The job was done in under one hour at the cost of $125 and a half functional phone. All apps not original to the phone would crash instantly.
When jeff brought my phone out to me I started checking out my apps and continuously one after another would not work. I instantly had Jeff called to come back out and I notified him of the new issues. He instantly denied any responsibility and even had the gall to try blaming me by asking me if I had worked on my phone at all. When I responded no, he said well there's parts missing from your phone. Why wasn't I informed of this initially? Hmmmm maybe because your the reason they are missing...
Long story short jeff claims no responsibility and refused to conduct anymore business with me
There was more words exchanged but this is the nuts and bolts.
I had to take my phone to another repair shop where they fixed my springboard crashing issues. Possible cause was Jeff not shutting down my phone properly before yanking out the battery. Second issue is I now have over heating issues from my phone not being grounded properly upon reassembly.
If you take your apple product to him your taking a risk, and IMHO the risk ain't worth saving $30 cause you'll have another $30 repair bill to fix his fuck up.
Follow up:
After having my phone repaired at Mac Masters, I went back to GoTronics with the repair bill. I politely waited for him to finish his business with the current customer then showed him the receipt for the repairs. I said I hoped that he would pay for this bill. I was told to go to hell and he then asked the secretary to call security. When security arrived I kept my mouth shut n let him talk to them. He started coming out with all sorts of stuff including me making threats towards him. COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE! There is witnesses to attest to that never happening. He then later changed his wording and said he felt threatened by my presence. In no way is my 5 7, 135lbs stature is threatening. But, okay.
He went on to even accuse me of working for Mac Masters and trying to set him up so we can ruin his company. What??? your company? He denied earlier that he was the owner operator, and refused to give me the name and contact information of that person, or even his boss.
This guy is off his rockers... FOR REAL! Don't believe me take your phone to him... Take your chances, n see what happens.
