While we were out of town for Christmas I received a PayPal invoice from PurMaid for the standard cleaning fee which I canceled as I knew my wife had sent a request to skip the service. We emailed and were told that her cancellation had not been received in time and so the service was performed. We were fine with this until I realized that we typically leave a key for them the day of service so I was not sure how they got in the house. The company said they keep an spare key in the office for emergencies.
I have now emailed the company on three separate occasions asking them to resend the invoice so I can pay it because they did complete the service. I also ask if we had ever authorized them to make a copy of our key as neither my wife nor I remember providing approval to do so. As of this afternoon I have received zero response.
I am trying to pay them for the work that they did but I am more concerned about them having a key to my home. The complete and total lack of response is concerning as they historically have been quite prompt with responses to any questions we have had. I am getting the feeling they won't respond because they are making copies of keys without approval from their clients.
