| - I don't post a lot of 5 star reviews, but this place deserves it. Prepare to stand in line for at least an hour. Typical wait times are 2+ hours, and they don't take reservations. Why would people stand in line that long when there's hundreds of other places to eat? Try it and find out. One would think that the anticipation of waiting that long would make the ultimate reward less than expectations, but that is not the case here.
Everything we had was top notch, from the caesar salad, to the fresh oysters, to the gumbo and Cioppino. And when I say top notch, I mean the gumbo was as good as I've had at the best New Orleans restaurants and the Cioppino as good as any I've had including at my favorite, the Tadich Grill in San Francisco.
They make each order from scratch and they custom-spice it for you. Beware on this. Take heed. Unless you really, really can handle spicy hot, keep things at 5 or below (on a 1-10 scale).
The menu has so many different things on it that you could eat there every day for a couple of weeks straight and not get bored. The servers are friendly, efficient, and it's a great place to strike up a conversation with others at the bar.
So try it next time you're in Vegas, but don't tell anyone else about it. We don't need those lines to be any longer...:)
