"Best BJJ gym in las vegas" google search pointed me in the direction of Cobra Kai Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu . It's a really friendly atmosphere. A year and a half later I have a new job and a whole bunch of new friends because of it. I even competed and the head coach of the gym was in my corner for a white belt match. I don't think a lot of head coaches would have time to coach a low level match but Sim Go and any of the black belts make time for everyone. Lots of joking around and new people are always treated cool. Was looking to join a BJJ gym because I wanted to learn what was happening on the ground in UFC fights also so I could be at least have some sort of knowledge of self-defense , especially since I have a girlfriend. I wanted to be able to defend her if anything ever happened. A month after joining she tried it out, loved it, and joined. I think I hate this gym because she's getting better than me since she trains so much but I guess that's not the gyms fault. Now i'm thinking about breaking up with her if she does get better than me, though we'll share custody of the gym . Enough about me though.
Both locations are in good spots of town by highways, always kept super clean, and good music playing. New location is really nice and you can tell a lot of work went into making it look perfect. Instructors super willing to help out with any questions. If you're thinking about joining just come check it out.
