  • Bought a Groupon ahead of time since we were planning a vacation in the area and thought it would be a good way to get out on the water and see the skyline of Toronto. We arrived at the pier and the boat looked a bit more rundown than the pictures on the website. I was really hoping I was in the wrong place or it was the other boat docked there. It really wasn't elegant at all and not what I was expecting for a $85 per person dinner cruise. I was thankful I got it for $45 but that was still a bit high for the food quality and they didn't even give you water. They obviously were looking to make bank on any beverages people would buy. $5 bottled water, beers, $6+ for tiny mixed drinks. I asked for some water and it was brown! Yuck. I knew it was buffet style and figured you could just get what you wanted, little extra salad if you skipped the pasta etc. but they were standing behind like a lunch line and giving you your portions so I feel they were being stingy. You are not getting anything extra here. They had a few different kinds of breads and I skipped the pasta (it looked dry and flavorless, and it was, I later tasted my friends) so I thought I'd try two and I was stopped and told only one per person. Wow. Just be aware it does not look like the pictures the tables are just lawn chairs and not intimate 4 person tables, they were banquet tables for 8 and its open seating so if you want to be by the window make sure you get on boat in the front of the line. The food was served downstairs and the best seats are on top so it's kinda a pain especially if your dressed up with heels. Which by the way is NOT necessary it's not that fancy, casual dress is plenty. I was very disappointed that they didn't do the route advertised and we weren't able to get the evening photos of the skyline. The weather was perfect so not sure why we back tracked and didn't go around the island and back by the skyline after dark, instead we got back a few minutes early. I don't feel it was worth the 1/2 price let alone full price. The chicken was dry, salad over dressed and wet, pasta flavorless and the water was brown! Best part was the boat ride but it wasn't what it was supposed to be and only did a partial route and went really slow and back tracked and weaved instead of going around island. Be warned I'm writing this review so you won't be as disappointed as I was. Maybe if your expectations are lower and you know what to expect you won't be as disappointed as I was.
