  • I'm probably biased because they comped me 2-4 nights plenty of times (and I don't really give much pit action... based on my insane hours of poker play maybe??), but I've fallen in love with the place. Huge rooms that truly are all suites with sunken living rooms, great views, and wonderful amenities. And the little touches, like TV's in the bathroom that face the jacuzzi tub. The pool is a bit quieter than the one at Venetian, but you can walk back and forth if you wish. The casino itself is elegant, but nothing truly jumps out at you. And if you want to play poker, you'll need to head across the way to the sister property. But the sports book downstairs, Lagasse Stadium, is incredible. Full of TV's and laid out like an actual sporting venue, the food is like a cross between a sports bar and high end gourmet. Emeril did a wonderful job with the menu and it makes it a great place to watch a game. Call ahead and get seating for the "stadium" that faces the big screen in the middle, but keep in mind there's a spending minimum if you want to sit there. They also offer the rather awesome in-game wagering via tablet computer. The shopping on the esplanade between the two properties is a lot of fun. The dining options like B & B and the Cantina are all excellent, but fans of Asian food rave about Woo. It's not as much my deal, but a destination for people that love it. And I say RUN, don't walk, RUN to Wolfgang Puck's Cut and have a steak dinner. Best steakhouse in Vegas hands down. This is not a debate, it's a fact. The service and staff are accommodating and top notch. The $20 bill trick works here too, as I've ended up with a suite that had two bedrooms and a pool view for four nights using it. Encore is probably a step above, but they don't treat poker players nearly as well. So this place gives you the best of Venetian, and a little more.
