I have been a loyal customer of Alamo for several years. However, over the last few months I have noted that the quality has taken a disappointing turn for the worst. On more than one occasion using the Express wash (which I do in between silver or gold washes) I have had to wait for an inordinate amount of time after going through the wash before anyone has come over to even start to towel dry. This has left spots and streaks. I thought maybe it was just a temporary problem.
Today I had the silver wash. After a very lengthy wait I was told my car was ready. When I walked over to my car the entire side of the car was streaked. It was apparent as soon as I walked up. How anyone could think the car was ready defies logic. When I pointed it out the attendant attempted to use windex and a towel but it was clear that was not going to remedy the situation. When I pointed it out to the inspector she agreed (even though she had already inspected it and announced it ready). I insisted the car be run back through the wash.
Rather than put the car at the front of the line, they simply put it at the the rear. When it did come through the wash it then sat for another 5 minutes with no one paying any attention to it. By this time I had already been waiting over an hour. I went inside to the inspector and insisted she have someone begin on the car immediately. She came out and did so begrudgingly. She had one person come to finish the car even though some other cars had two attendants working on them. I told her that I had been a customer for years but that I would not be coming back. She did not seem to care. The final job was only marginally acceptable but by this time I had been waiting over an hour and a half for a simple car wash, so I decided that was my last visit to Alamo.
I will not be returning to Alamo.
