| - 3 stars doesn't express how much I enjoyed our meal here. Yes, Grand Wok isn't a restaurant that one would go out of their way to dine at but it's convenient if you're staying at MGM Grand and appreciate (or in the case of my in-laws, need) Asian food. MGM is not without its Asian options (Shibuya, Hakkasan), but Grand Wok is more affordable and I would argue that the food here is even better than at Shibuya. The menu covers Chinese, Japanese (sort of), and Thai/Singaporean dishes--and while nothing was spectacular, nothing was awful either. For a lot of Asian tourists, a restaurant like this is necessary because burgers, steaks, and pizzas can get real old, real fast.
I recommend skipping the sushi altogether and sticking with the noodle-based and rice-based dishes. We liked the beef chow fun, fried rice, ramen, and honey-glazed walnut shrimp (soo much better than what we had at Shibuya!). Service was attentive and accommodating, and the wait staff definitely made our meal much more pleasant.
