  • Very popular and a staple of Scottsdale, you can expect to run into one or more athletes over dinner. Valet and street parking available. Many sports memorabilia decorate every square inch of the restaurant. Large, busy bar and lots of seating for small and larger groups. Sufficient beer and wine selection. Steaks are cooked perfectly, and they are famous for their ribs. The New York steak was cooked right at medium rare and came with a crusty, wonderfully delicious crust. Salad and broccoli are a strong pass, the salads probably super high in calorie with their dense sauces and the broccoli being very bland and with a tangy sauce that didn't look appealing both visually or taste-wise. Potatoes, whether roasted or mash, seemed visually more tasty and a better option. Not a five star because our server didn't seem too excited when we ordered desserts, and even mentioned it would be more preferrable to turn the table around for a new set of customers but would make an exception for us to order dessert. There's a rumor the store is closing and being converted to a nursing facility or senior housing with the restaurant perhaps or not moving to another location. Hope that's not true as even if they simply relocated, it would not be the same. A jem and old school tradition that needs to stay.
