Nooooooo. No no. No no no no no nooooo!
I got to this hotel following a 6- or 7-hour drive from Maryland. All I wanted was a bed to sleep in so that I could get up early and drive another 6 hours. I walked into my room and luckily decided to use the bathroom before I unpacked anything. It had not been cleaned properly. Yeah, the toilet paper was folded into that stupid triangle, and yeah there were fresh bottles of tiny shampoo, but there were also little hairs all over the floor, a shoeprint on the floor, and hard water stains all over everything in the shower. I called the front desk and got a new room. Same problem. This is why I never bother to change rooms when I have housekeeping problems: every room will have housekeeping problems. So, I gave up and got into bed and OH LOOK there are hairs in the bed, between the sheets. Gross. I hope those hairs had gotten stuck to the sheets in the washer, but my feeling is they hadn't changed the sheets. Ewwwwwww.
I complained to Marriott headquarters the next day and got a response from the hotel manager. She said she had credited $20 back to my account and spoken with the housekeeper. I dunno, I'd pay way more than $20 to sleep on clean sheets.
