Istanbul Sofra is the place to go if you're looking for a new dining experience in Pittsburgh. We opted not to eat in the city prior to attending the theater for the sake of rush hour traffic. We were not one bit disappointed. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman in a suit. During our entire meal he circulated the dining area making sure everything was up to his high standards. Hilary's service was flawless. Our meals were more than fabulous, starting with the cold appetizers, grilled lamb chops, lamb kabobs and the eggplant special. Afterward the Manager saw to it that we had two desserts..............this indeed is the best baklava in town served with a generous portion of whipped cream. The other flan like dessert was complimented by our delicious Turkish coffees. Everything is a plus there: décor, service, cleanliness, food quality and BYOB with only $5 for the corkage fee. We will be returning with other guests as soon as possible.
Thank you!
