  • I was headed to another restaurant when I saw this one and immediately decided I was going to try it. The atmosphere was great, an old world feel- the decor and set up was truly unique. I went upstairs to find more seating and 2 pool stables. I couldn't decide what I wanted to try (the pasties all looked so good) so I got 1 and my brother got one and we split them. They both were amazing- the Ruben and the Carne Adovada (was a bit spicy but I love spicy foods). The crust was thin and crispy and the fillings tasted homemade. They also had some craft beers, I didn't have one but my brother had an IPA and said it was really good. If we weren't at an event I would have brought one home-- you can get it half baked to finish cooking at home. I believe if you get the Oggie you even get a small discount if it's take and bake. Overall I loved this place and will have to find a reason to go back downtown just so I can eat here.
