  • I work in a condominium building where numerous bikes are left behind. Every couple of years we clean out the bike room. This year happens to be the year to do so. We have very expensive bikes that were just left here over a 2 year period. Long story short, I called to see if they can schedule a pick up today, we have about 100 or so bikes that we would like to donate. When I called, I explained the situation and said "if it's possible to be picked up today, that would be great..." before I could even get out the words 'or we could arrange another day for pick up' the man on the phone was completely rude and said "TODAY!!!! Psh!! No absolutely not!!! Not today" He was so rude I interrupted him and said 'Ok thank you' and hung up. He was still yelling as I hung up. What I do not understand, if this is a charity and people are willing to donate nice quality things to your charity, how are you going to be rude and ignorant when someone calls you to do so? For the record, the number I called was (800) 728-7825. I will be calling around to other charities to see if they'd like bicycles ranging from $150 - $1000.
