This was always a favorite spot of mine! Aside from it being too packed at peak times, the food and drinks were always great, the atmosphere was fun and light, and it was just a cute place to enjoy a happy hour or a drink out on the patio!
BUT I was there last month and have been meaning to write a review ever since. I sat on the side by the bathrooms and the whole place smelled not of cilantro or delicious food, but of gross old wet towels, like they were cleaning the tables with old rags. It took SO LONG to get our drinks (I only ordered wine!), and I was bummed to see they changed their menu. The carnitas I used to die for are now covered in this weird (cheesy?) sauce. They used to be more fresh and now are just smothered in weird artificial-tasting crap that ruins the whole thing. I feel like I'm eating tacos at the Steel Cactus or something, not at a cool urban bar in a hip neighborhood.
I dunno, I'm pretty bummed about the carnitas, but would still come back in the summer to drink sangria outside. I definitely won't be frequenting this as much as I used to though. Bummer.
