We've been wanting to try this place. Its a chinese style hotpot that has a rotating bar much like that of a sushi spot that has extra ingredients you can add to your hot pot.
Theres a sauce bar that has all kinds of yummy sauces to add to your soup as well. They also have bottomless edamame and congee- although at night when we were there the porridge was out.
You get your own little soup burner and they bring the additional meats or items on menu out to you.
We got the spicy soup base which was a szechuan style mixture and the oxtail soup base which was also very good.
The ingredients were fresh.
The servers were very nice and helpful.
If you don't like close quarters do not sit at bar. Its a very asian style dining and youre just there to eat and leave. It reminded me of the food stalls in Korea. Sit at a table if you really want to enjoy the experience.
Its a little more expensive than most places in chinatown about 30 per person. Cheaper than the strip though and the food is good!
Happy souping!
