The two of us are Thai food afficionados & haven't any decent restaurants of that cuisine in the neighborhood. Archi's was once terrific, in service, quality & ambiance, but last weekend was unfortunately the 3rd time in a row that left us wanting.
When we arrived after 5:00 on Sat. night there weren't many people there which was unusual for Archi's. The lighting felt like a big cafeteria, without warmth (the Rainbow location is more intimate). The servers remain robot-like, as if owner/manager demands they not chat up a customer.
The Pad Kee Mao was as good as usual, but the spicy eggplant had no spice (we asked for a #2) & was swimming in oil. Our water glasses weren't refilled & our server didn't ask if our meal was okay.
When I have in the past left a few msgs. for Archi (is there an Archi?), the mailbox was filled each time. So, how much care is really given to the Summerlin store any longer? So, we'll keep looking.
