| - I stayed here for a couple nights while doing some training. While the place is apparently undergoing some renos, my room was pretty dated, albeit comfortable and clean.
Pros
- Location, location, location: walking distance to Terminal 3 at Pearson
- Free shuttle goes to Terminal 1 and 3 every 30m.
- Free wifi, no password required. Reasonable speeds and good connectivity.
- Bar has some local beer.
- Shower has pumps for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner instead of those wasteful little bottles.
- Most of the staff I interacted with was really friendly, especially their shuttle driver.
Cons
- The owners have obviously been coasting on the benefits of the location for a long time. Now that the nearby Alt hotel has been open for several years and is likely eating their lunch, they're making doing some reno's.
- No built in electrical outlets in the bedside tables or headboard.
The food at the hotel restaurant and at the training was better than I thought it was, given the surroundings, but not good enough to land in the "pro" column, more like the "not disappointing" column.
This Four Points serves it's purpose for people staying before/after flights, or for small conferences, but is not up to snuff with modern standards. You'll be comfortable, but far from impressed.
